Assistant Mechanical Engineer

What is your primary duty? The Assistant Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for preparing drawings, designs, and analyzing mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems for truck-mounted lifting equipment that meet the applicable standards.

A little about us…. Omaha Track Equipment custom builds, fabricates and maintains all types of Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment, specializing in hi-rail trucks, cranes and other products related to the railroad industry, for railroads and contractors across North America.

Minimum Qualifications

• As in Mechanical Design Minimum

• BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred. 

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

• Demonstrated intermediate mechanical and basic mathematical skills

• Effective listening skills, including the ability to interpret, document, and follow oral instructions
